Land Acknowledgement
We acknowledge the beautiful land on which we learn and teach today.
Since time immemorial, it has been the traditional lands of Indigenous Peoples. We recognize this land is now home to many diverse Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and the world.
To honour the Indigenous people of Canada and recognize the historical injustices inflicted upon them, White Ribbon is committed towards the advancement of reconciliation. Towards this advancement, we recognize the importance and the practice of cultural humility. We will work to create authentic and genuine relationships with Indigenous communities and organizations with the intent to provide equitable, accessible, and culturally appropriate services with Indigenous people. We will support Indigenous people with healing, justice, solidarity and allyship.
“The road we travel is equal in importance to the destination we seek. There are no shortcuts. When it comes to Truth and Reconciliation, we are forced to go the distance.”
